Our Services
In-Home or Hospital Consults
In a private class before your baby arrives, we will discuss your pregnancy and lactation history and address any concerns you have about welcoming your nursling(s) and those first days and weeks as a breastfeeding family. We will work together to set you up for a successful start to nursing your baby or babies.
In a private consultation after your baby/ies arrive(s), I will also assess your baby's anatomy and latch. We will address any pain or other concerns you have. I am also able to determine how much your baby eats in while I'm there by weighing them before and after a feeding.
All consults include a detailed plan including any resources we discuss, provided to you after our appointment. I also send a short report to your doctor for their records.
I recommend your partner or other support person be available during your consult(s).
If you are outside my travel area, consider a video consult instead.
Video Consults
Very similar to an in-home consult, but I'm unable to do a full assessment of your baby or breasts and cannot weigh your baby to determine how much they ate. If these are necessary, I will do my best to find a care provider near you.
You will need your partner or other support person available to help you position your baby and/or the camera.
Return-to-work Consults

I recommend a visit 4-6 weeks before you return to work. We will:

do a pump fitting (we can discuss which pump to buy before your appointment - it's best if you already have your pump at our visit)

discuss tips and tricks to maximize milk expression

go over safe milk storage guidelines

talk about how your baby should be fed when you are separated

make a plan to address any concerns you have

review laws that protect your right to express milk for your baby when you are at work

discuss common difficulties and concerns that come up for working and breastfeeding parents
